Naomi Leiserson – Studio Owner, Pilates Instructor, Movement Specialist
Naomi was introduced to Pilates in the Dance Medicine department of St. Francis Memorial Hospital’s Center for Sports Medicine and it was “love at first movement”. She studied with Diana Herold and Nora St. John and worked at the Center for Sports Medicine for seven years prior to opening Turning Point Studios in 2000. During her tenure at CSM, she found Pilates incredibly effective in many ways, including honing athletic performance, enhancing rehabilitation, and speeding post-surgical recovery. She is certified by Michele Larsson and Core Dynamics in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Naomi loves to learn. She continues to study Pilates and broaden her understanding of movement by taking classes with Master teachers in many different disciplines. She is a certified Level 1 Gyrotonic instructor and a Level 2 Franklin Method educator. She is also a practitioner of the Hendrickson Method of Massage and Manual Therapy. She has studied Anatomy in Clay with John Zahourek and taken many human dissection workshops. As a dedicated teacher, Naomi knows the more she learns and understands human movement potential, the more she can enhance the learning experience of her clients and students.
