• The Anatomy, Mat and Apparatus written exams must be completed and turned in.
• All personal session, observation and student teaching hours must be completed.
• If you have been working with instructors other than Nora or Naomi you may be asked to take a session with one of them prior to your final practical exam. Our goal is to certify you! Because of this you will not be allowed to take the final practical if we don't think you will pass. If this happens we will guide you in the areas you need to work on before you can test out.

There are two options for the practical exam:

1. Participate in a Group Test out.  These are offered several times a year for only $75.  The way it works is that you (and as many as five other students) will bring a client to Turning Point Studios and there give them a session using at least three pieces of equipment.  If you are unable to bring a client of your own we will provide one for you but you must let us know at least one month prior to your test date.  To reserve a space in the group test simply call Turning Point and give the date of the group test you will be attending.  All of your written exams need to be handed in one month prior to the test date and your hours must be completed as well. 
2. Individual test outs can be arranged if necessary however there will be an additional fee and it will depend on the availability of the Instructor.

During both parts of the exam we will be observing your skills in the following areas: correct set up and execution of the exercises, appropriate sequencing, appropriateness of the exercises to the client or class, understanding and application of the principles, cueing and the ability to communicate with your client. Depending on the situation, we may ask you to include a few specific exercises in the session or class to test your knowledge of the full repertoire.

If you do not pass on the first try, we will discuss what you need to focus on in order to pass and set a timeline for you to complete it and take the test a second time.
